A room full of possibility
Above Sydney’s Adyar Bookshop, Benjamin discovered the Theosophical Library. Its sacred texts opened a lasting fascination with mythology and the divinatory traditions.
Australian writer and creator of The Creatrix Prophecy—a lifelong journey through story, screen, meditation and the deeper patterns that shape human experience.
Born in Sydney in the early 1970s and raised between Canberra and Sydney, Benjamin Rose has devoted his life to the ways in which stories, symbols and ideas illuminate the human experience.
Benjamin Rose was born in Sydney in the early 1970s. While still very young, he moved with his family to Canberra, where his father practised as a local general practitioner.
His first school was AME, an alternative primary school whose unconventional spirit suited an already inquisitive child. At ten, Benjamin returned to Sydney. He grew up in St Ives, attending St Ives South Primary School and, later, St Ives High School.
During Year Eight, after being bullied for being “different”, he transferred to SCECGS Redlands in Neutral Bay. There, the qualities that had marked him as unusual began to find their proper expression. He flourished in drama and sport, earned full colours for rugby league, and distinguished himself in Mathematics, English and Science.
Beyond the classroom, his intellectual life was taking a more singular course. Meditation, philosophy, writing and the arts converged with an early fascination for Tarot, Astrology, the I Ching and the ancient wisdom traditions of many cultures.
He read voraciously and without regard for convention. The Oxford English Dictionary and the Bible were each read from cover to cover—evidence of an appetite not merely for information, but for language, symbolism and the architecture of meaning.
After completing his HSC, Benjamin travelled through Europe and lived for a time in Portugal. That year abroad broadened a sensibility already drawn to history, culture and the inner lives of people.
On returning to Australia, he entered the world of television and studied acting at the Actors Centre by night. A handful of experiences before the camera clarified his true vocation: he was less interested in inhabiting a single role than in shaping the entire dramatic world. Direction—and the orchestration of story—became the more compelling path.
Benjamin’s professional life has moved across Australian television, documentary practice, film education, long-form writing, community work and the study of consciousness. The disciplines may appear diverse; the animating question has remained remarkably consistent: how do ideas become stories, and how do stories alter the way we see?
As script editor on G.P., Corelli and Echo Point, he refined a close understanding of character, structure and the emotional logic that allows a story to feel true.
In 2000, Benjamin founded the Sydney Academy of Film and Television (SAFTV) to give aspiring screen professionals the practical training, creative freedom and informed guidance needed to pursue their ambitions. Until its closure in 2013, the Academy offered courses in television presenting, scriptwriting and directing. Many of its presenting students went on to establish successful careers in television.
Benjamin took particular pleasure in helping emerging talent move from aspiration to authorship: developing an idea, learning the disciplines of production and ultimately creating work of their own. The training was rigorous but spirited—a place where students could experiment, enjoy the process and discover what they were capable of making.
Through SAFTV, Benjamin also produced more than 3,000 episodes of EWTV. Filmed under his direction and delivered to FOXTEL, then owned by 21st Century Fox, the program aired each Wednesday and gave developing presenters and production talent the experience of making broadcast television.
This sustained work in writing, teaching and production led to documentary projects addressing life within Indigenous communities. Benjamin turned his attention to young people growing up in harsh and marginalised environments, portraying not only their struggles with identity and belonging, but also their resilience, achievements and profoundly different experience of Australian life.
During much of the same period, from 2000 to 2010, he worked professionally as a cameraman with Ozcam Professional Video Hire in Sydney.
His work with Paul Bailey’s second Think of an Elephant book, published in 2007, encompassed media training, creative collaboration and marketing. For fifteen years, Benjamin also wrote the articles for Good Medicine, developing a sustained practice of rendering complex thought in language that remained lucid, practical and humane.
Later, as Social and Community Coordinator at The Hive, he pursued study in trauma-informed practice and social work. These experiences deepened his understanding of the individual within community—and of the care required when ideas move from theory into lived experience.
Today, those many strands converge in his writing, in The Creatrix Prophecy, and in the invitation-only Creatrix Masterclass, Quantum Consciousness Within the Intelligent Universe. Together they represent not a departure from his earlier work, but its culmination: story, symbol and inquiry gathered into one evolving body of thought.
Before there were hexagonal cards, there was a question: could the recurring themes of Tarot, Astrology and the I Ching become one connected language?
Above Sydney’s Adyar Bookshop, Benjamin discovered the Theosophical Library. Its sacred texts opened a lasting fascination with mythology and the divinatory traditions.
Months comparing Tarot cards, I Ching hexagrams and Astrological influences became an early 40-page manuscript—a beginning he could never quite leave behind.
The manuscript travelled between computers while television, teaching, spiritual writing, meditation and the Divine Feminine continued to deepen the world behind it.
After further research and consultation, the written system became 64 archetypes. The First Edition companion, dated April 2025, brought the stories and artwork into a physical card system.
